Arbeitsschwerpunkte
Mariam Nikravech studierte Politikwissenschaften an der Sciences Po Lyon in Frankreich mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Evaluation von Entwicklungsprojekten und -Policies. Sie arbeitete als Projektmanagerin/Wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin an der Uni Mannheim sowie bei einem Beratungsunternehmen für die Wirkungsevaluation und Studien von Entwicklungsprojekten, insbesondere von Bildungs- und Life Skills Training Interventionen in Äthiopien und Südasien. Sie arbeitet seit Januar 2019 am IBBA als Doktorandin und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin. Ihre Forschungsinteressen umfassen Ernährungspolicies, globale Wertschöpfungsketten sowie nachhaltige Entwicklung mit einem Schwerpunkt auf Lebensmittelverschwendung und die Akzeptanz von Insekten als Lebensmittel. Methodologisch interessiert sie sich für kausale Inference sowie Mixed-Methods in Evaluation und Forschung.
Im Rahmen des Projekts FoodLabHome forscht sie zu Auswirkungen von Klimabildungsinterventionen auf Lebensmittelverschwendung in Haushalten.
Darüber hinaus beschäftigt sie sich mit Strategien, um im EU-Projekt SUSINCHAIN (Sustainable Insect Value-Chains) die Akzeptanz von Insekten als Lebensmittel in Europa zu erhöhen.
